![]() and then just suggest ones with specific proven additives. As a medical professional it's safest to stick with products that have just the required (proven) skin need ingredient list which is quite short when making a product. Most influencers seem to be young and looking for the next big thing and honestly I don't think these brands tend to market to that age group.Įveryone seems to have covered why influencers don't cover them (newness/trend/getting paid) but I think derms don't include them as their products are often heavily fragranced and use botanical/additions that are not peer reviewed or scientifically proven with bold claims. They're not fancy and not trendy but they work for me, I use actives in other products so I don't need anything in my moisturizer. Right now at night I use Ponds Dry Skin Cream usually, during the day I like the old school Olay Active Hydrating Fluid or the Active Hydrating Cream. I've tried tons of eye creams over the years, and was using either Skinceuticals A.G.E. I love Olay though! FYI I'm 39, and have been into skincare since my early 20s. I've never really tried anything from L'Oreal. Lancome being kind of the opposite - elegant, fancy feeling, fragranced - also didn't impress me. Kiehls really appealed to me as being a basic, no frills, heritage sort of brand but nothing worked for me. The folks at ScA have put in a ton of time and effort into their resources, so take advantage of them!Įverything I tried by Kiehls and Lancome I thought was overpriced, and didn't actually do much for me.
